How long can you you leave wraps without finish?

I have some rods I want to wrap but I'm afraid to start. I don't have any finish and won't be able to order any till the end of the month. So roughly about 3 or 4 weeks till they would get any kind of finish. Bills come before hobbies unfortunately. Would it be OK to wrap them and then cover them with tin foil or something and put them in a piece of PVC to keep the dust off of them.? Will they loosen up if sitting for that long? Thanks for any help. Re: How long can you you leave wraps without finish?

Keep the dust off and you'll be ok. Think Saran wrap or some other cling wrap and someplace that's not in direct sunlight and you should be ok . Re: How long can you you leave wraps without finish?

Stick the rod back in the bag that the blank came in and it'll be fine whenever you pull it out to do the finish.

If the wraps do get dusty, just dab them lightly w/ HomeDepot tack cloth. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
