New Rodsmith Chuck and upgrades

I was wondering who has bought the new deluxe chuck and can you say how they are working out?
I'm looking to up grade my home built wrapper that uses the older"self-centering" chuck.

Jim,

I put the new chuck on my homebuilt wrapper and it works very well. It turns true without wobble and accomodates blank diameters from small to large.

I've had absolutely no problems with it. It's a huge improvement over the old style chuck.

Thanks Stan, the rod I'm currently building has a 1.5" i.d. and the chuck I have now spits the butt out every few thousand rpm! AND that wobble does not bode well while turning cork or Hypalon!
I will seriously look at aquiring the new chuck!

I'm hoping that Mudhole (or some other distributor) will have some with them in Charlotte (hint , hint) . I've been meaning to order one (or two) but don't ever seem to get around to it.

You can pinch down the arms of the chuck so it will stay put using an automobile hose clamp.
