Solid EVA Rings

How do I use one of these for a butt cap? I've already got the grip glued and turned. Do I glue and press the EVA ring onto the grip, slide the grip onto a mandrel up to the eva ring and turn on a lathe? Is tightbond III the glue to use between the EVA ring and cork, or, should I use 2 part epoxy?

Thank you,
Neil Toland

Neil,
Go to Page 2 of the Forum (or further if you don't go there soon) and find the posting entitled "CORK GRIPS".
There you will read Tom Kirkman's answer to the very same question. You can also just do a search for "Cork Grips" and it will bring it up.

I like to fit the butt of the rod into the EVA Buttcap to ensure a strong bond. I just drill a shallow hole in the butt cap sized to fit the rod butt.

Tightbond III is my glue of choice for grips as it does not create a hard line between rings and yet provides a very secure bond. Enjoy the build.
