Planning to build a 9'6" 7wt. St. Croix SC IV with single foot ceramic guides. I am looking for suggestions on guide sizes and spacing.

It depends entirely on the knots that need to go through your guides. What kind of lines will you be throwing with it? Will you be using it in really cold weather? Re: Guide size

Place a guide on every ferrule, then static distribution for the rest. 16-12 (single foot spinning), 10-8-7-6s to tip. Re: Guide size

Just to offer a different opinion, I wouldn't go smaller than 7's. If you ever get into shooting heads then you're going to want to pass some knots and 6's are a bit small to my way of thinking. I would seriously consider running 8's to the tip. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
