The RodMaker Reception at the National Rod Builders' Show will be held in seminar room 203B at 6:30 PM on Saturday evening. This is in the Convention Center.

I had planned the refreshments for about 200 builders, but it appears that number was a bit naive. I've now bumped it up for 400. Snacks, water and cokes will be provided at no charge. There will a cash bar for those who would like beer or wine. If the number gets too large, we can spill into the hall - it's plenty big enough.

We have a nice list of door prizes to be awarded (nothing to buy, just drop your ticket in the box at the door) with items from Mud Hole, American Tackle, Lamar, U-40, RodMaker and others.

There is no program scheduled. Just come on up and socialize with the other builders. Name tags will be available at the door.

You are making me sick, Tom. Our bi-annual lab inspection is due on the 24th and all vacations have been canceled. Maybe in the near future we could have one in Houston. We have plenty of room for conventions, shows, etc. This coming Saturday we will be having The Texas Fly FIshers Fly Tying Festival. It is an all day affair with many famous tyers present. I will attend just to make me feel better for not being able to attend the custom rod gathering.
