I just decided to use aftcote on my surf rod. It seems as there is not much information on this product, so I decided to try it for my self. Several good things in my experience 1, Crystal Clear 2, Long pot life 3 Easy to work with 4, Very Flexable. It seems as it takes a very long time to set up it took an average of 9 hours before i was brave enough to dry to the touch. I am ready to throw out my dura gloss. Since Aftcote is so thin after you mix it let it sit if you want a higher build then apply. Re: Aftcote

I went just the opposite direction. Threw out my Aftcote and made the high build LS Supreme my 'go-to' finish. Everybody likes something different. Just thankful we have so many types to choose from. Re: Aftcote

I took 6CCs of Aftcote, poured it into a foil container, let it set up. There is no other finish as Flexible, imo. You can bend it every which way, it doesn't split. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
