hello guys

i have a question on the compatability of the fuji BYAG guides . i believe these guides have a j height rating, i see from the anglers resource web site that they have added a new BMYAG guide. and from what it says it has a j height rating as well. i want to make a steelhead float rod with all high frame gudes and was wondering if the 2 models are compatable to use together.also. has any one ever seen available in the US, smaller guides (#6) available in the YSG sic model ? i've seen them available down to a number 7. all responses are appreciated

thanks in advance,
Tim

Tim,

The BYAG are the standard height Concept "Y" frame guides that are available in all of Fuji's ring and frame materials. The BMYAG are the ultra high frame version, that is similar to the Pac Bay "M" series guides. I personally would not combine them together. For example....A BYAG in size 8 is shorter than the BMYAG in size 7, so how would you step down as you move up the toward the tip. I also think that the height difference between a BMYAG and a BYAG in the same size is too great. Let me know if you find the YSG in size 6. I'll take 'em!!! Call me if you have any questions.
