I just noticed that Alconite versions of the Fuji Concept Low Rider Surf guides. Has anyone used these type of guides extensively? What applications have you used these guides? What is your opinion of them?
I have used them twice, once on a 10'6" spinning surf rod and once on an Acid wrapped 6'6" boat rod. I thought the stance was too long for the size guides and that they would hamper the action of the guides. Re: LCSG/BLCAG Surf Guides

Jim - I used them once on an ARRA 1321 11' surf rod. I found the guide feet to be too long, which I didn't like at all, so I replaced the running guides with IGMNSG's. Guess what - same hieght as teh LC's, less weight, shorter foot to foot - I came to teh conclusion why bother with the LC's? THe frame deign is to prevent line from tangling - which it does do. I haven't noticed this to be a problem, so for me I se no advantages of LC's over MN's.
The line doesn't know it's going through Low Rider guides and magically shoot through them faster, lol. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
