Hey guys...I have made a pretty good mistake. I am building my self a 5'6 trout rod. I forgot to spine it before i glued on cork and reel seat. Should i strip it off and spine rod. Would it make a huge difference on a small UL trout rod? Please help.
Sincerely, Dan Colville Re: mistake...

There is no incorrect position for the spine. From that perspective, it makes no difference whatsoever. However, where you orient the spine can result in small or subtle performance charateristic differences. From that perspective, you may like one better than another. But at this point, you're probably better off just building it out and fishing it as is.

Not a "mistake" -- a "learning experience" -- you may like it more just the way it is. The only way to really know is to fish the rod. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
