Has anyone used the 10'6" spinning surf rod by Tica. If so, how do you rate it. Thanks, Trip Bayles

Tica rods are a decent value...blanks are above average for their price point...components (guides and reel seats) are junk.

I've got the 10'6" Tica and like it a lot. It's long enough that you can get good distance but it's still light enough that it can be used for tossing arti's. The Tica's are a great value for the money, until the guide inserts crack or fall out. I've only replaced the tip top on my 11'6" so far but other guys have had to replace more. Even with the bad guides, the rod is still worth it, just keep an eye on it!

George
