I have found I am destroying the top 2 cork rings on the grips of fly rods I use for distance casting. Before I go replacing these pieces, I wondered what material you guys thought would provide the best wear resistance, while still feeling a bit like cork?

Rubberized Cork would definately be the most durable.

I find wood works well at that point in a grip. It may be worth a try in your case. Stan Grace Helena, MT "Our best is none too good" Re: Cork Substitute For Hard Worked Fly Rod Grips?

Exotic burl cork from Andy Dear at Lamar Reel Seats. Trust me. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
