Building up a bare bones 10wt with Fuji SiC Ti guides and a fuji DPS spin seat. Which size have you used and why?
Thanks, Kenny Saums Re: Which size fuji spin seat for 10wt?

I'd go with the 16 mm seat, it will fit the reel foot better and be also closer to the correct length thread wise. Re: Which size fuji spin seat for 10wt?

Agree, there's nothing to be gained on a fly rod by going larger than a 16 mm seat - at least nothing that I can think of. If you've never used the DPS 16 seat on a fly rod before, it may become your preferred seat once you use it, even when you aren't going "bare bones". It may be the least expensive option but I think it's one of the best in terms of performance. Coupled up with your guide choice, that sounds like a sweet rig to me. Use a size 16 seat and a fighting butt built on a quick lock foregrip. This system is clean looking, out of the ordinary, and will fit into a standard tube for storage. I have started making all the 8,9,10 wt rods that I wrap for salt water this way, and everyone is very happy with the system. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
