I made a spinning rod out of a 9 foot Hook and Hackle 4 piece 6wt that works great. My customer uses it for both bass and trout w/ 6# test line. The extra length helps in throwing small spinners a little further and playing a 4 or 5 pound fish is a blast. Re: Four Pc. Spinning Blank for 4-6lb Line Recommendations

The Forecast F764-4 4 wt fly blank make an awfully nice travel rod. Fast tipped blank for a fly rod. Most of the longer travel rods I've made are more prone to lop casts and not near as efficient at keeping the casts low, picking a stream and its structure apart as the shorter rods. Also some of the sponsors make 3 piece shorter travel blanks that would be about the same length broke down. Re: Four Pc. Spinning Blank for 4-6lb Line Recommendations

St. Croix has a 4 piece, light spinning blank. I like the 3 piece spinning blanks from Allstar a whole lot. For me, they fish as well as a 1 piece. Hope your customer can accept a 3 piece, because the selection is a lot wider. Batson, St. Croix, Allstar, and probably a lot more. Re: Four Pc. Spinning Blank for 4-6lb Line Recommendations
