Bellinger uplocking for a #5 rod

Hi.

I'm going to build couple of five weights and I've got two Bellinger reel seats in mind: ULTB660NS and ULTB680NS.
I just don't know which one to go with - I'm wondering about the reel foot fitting in.

Also, from the Bellinger site it seems that the 680 has a machined type upper reel foot mount. In other places where I've seen pictures of this seat the mount is of a pressed type which is something I really don't like. Has this recently changed?

Cheers,

-Sakari

Your best bet on this matter would be to contact Bellinger and ask directly. They would have the information you request. Just shoot them an email and ask.

The ULTB 680 NS can take a larger foot and Bellinger are transitioning from pressed pocket type to machined hood with that model. One can get either one at the moment.

For additional info, the overall lengths of the seats are:
ULTB 660 NS - 3 5/8"
ULTB 680 NS - 3 3/4"

Thus, the 680 is the one for me.
