Finally made one....

Well guys I finally made one of the Quick Clamp cork clamps today that Mr. Ellis Mendiola and some others have made and I have only one thing to say...............why didn't I think of that!! I've had one of these Quick Clamps laying around the shop for a while now wondering what I could use it for rodbuilding wise and I'm proud to say it now has a purpose. Great idea and a whole lot faster and easier than screwing down wing nuts on all thread!!

Bill,
Wasn't that your original idea of the cork clamp? If it is, thanks a million.

I use for a cork clamp a threaded rod. No room for more toys. I split a piece of scrap blank and stick sandpaper in it for that tool. Got to use them for some thing

Geez........ Pretty sure Mike Barkley had the first rod clamp idea that was later improved...... Of course I too could be vying for
room #1 at Mr Kirkman's retired addict home for the feeble. As far as procrastinating -- hmmm there's the epoxy mixer, the
water break tool and now the cork clamp ... all waiting to be "done"

I saw the first one similar to this with a caulking gun being used. That was in Rodcrafters and I quit subscribing to it in the late '80's.
