I had a slight problem finding places to store my blanks. They were evry where on my walls in corners and in rod racks. I foun the perfect solution. I found 3 old golf bags that holds 10 or 12 clubs each. Now all my blanks are safe in one small closet.

Bob,
Sounds pretty cool! I have found that 6" PVC pipe cut and banded or taped together makes great blank holders. If it weren't for the ones I have in the back, blanks would be everywhere! Dan Re: Storing blanks

My bulding area is in my basement with exposed floor joists above me. I store my blanks horizontally on supports I attached to my floor joists. Same place I store my fishing rods. That way, they take up no useable space and can't possibly be harmed by anything. Of course, I have to stand on a step stool or my workbench to get a blank, but that's no big deal. Just something to consider if you have this as an option. If I had studs attached to the concrete wall, I could store them vertically out of the way against the wall. But, they wouldn't be as protected from kids or my carelessness in that location. The best thing about this system is it provides good examples of why I should NOT finish my basement, something I don't want to do but will probably feel the pressure to do someday. As soon as the basement gets finished, I know it will no longer be MY basement. I'll be relegated to the unheated garage loft, which is a much longer walk to my beer fridge. Re: Storing blanks

Well Randy, I don't know if they're the right priorities, but they don't seem to be changing. Fortunately, my basement is clean and safe enough to have the kids down there with me while I'm working. They paint , draw pictures, and ask me a million questions per hour while I work at my bench. My 5-year old begs me to use the shop vac - she thinks it's a game. It's my favorite room in the house. Does anyone have the spec for a Sage hi-modulus fiberglass blank #B486SSP?
