What is the difference in the G-USA DHX Graphite Cast/Spin and the United Series (DHX) Casting blanks? Is the United series as good as the G-USA series?

Thanks,
Steve

United series are composite with glass along with the graphite for strength. Cost less also.
Made in the same factory here in San Diego

Steve - what blanks are you looking at spcifically? THere is a noticeable difference between the United's & GUSA in the lighter models. The United's are softer with a more Moderate bend, whereas the GUSA's are a bit stiffer & faster. With the heavier rods I cannot tell the difference..80 Mega, 80 Monster.

Let me know wat you're looking for, I have a few GUSA's I'm trying to sell, and I'm going to be placing another order soon.

Billy....I was looking at the United series UR702 because it was 6-17 lb test with a 4.5 tip. The G-USA B70M has 5.5 tip. I wanted the smaller tip but still the fast action.

Steve,

I've got the C702DHX built as a spinning rod, and that is one sweet stick. I can't help you on the United series since I haven't even touched one yet, but I can highly recommend the DHX series in that model.

he smallest United I pulled on was the UR663 (also the 664, 665, 703, 704, 705), comparing it to the same GUSA's in DHX. If you want teh Fast action in a smaller tip, I would guess the 702DHX is what you want. Although, the B/C series is sort of similar to the United's (I had the 66H & XH, as well as the 70H & XH) - just the blank was thicker for teh same rated DHX.

That make sense?

I have a United UR76M that I haven't built up yet. 8-17# with a 5.0 tip. This is one of the fastest action blanks I've handled. I will use it for unweighted plastics for shallow water redfish and trout.
