I just started a rod that I'm building for myself, and I decided to use some thread that I haven't ever managed to use before and use some underwraps for the first time. I'm teaming up Gudebrod cobalt thread with sunburst. I am doing the underwraps using the cobalt and just put on a coat of finish. Man, is the cobalt a beautiful color! The sunburst is good, but the cobalt is stunning. It really comes to life once you put some finish on it. Re: Gudebrod cobalt thread

Cobalt is one of my "go to" colors. Very rich look that isn't garish. Never looks cheap. Re: Gudebrod cobalt thread

Greg and Mike I totally agree with you. I recently posted a blue and gold AMTAC guide I did with Cobalt Blue and no CP. The effect was perfect for the Cobalt colour of the CTS blank. I used a little metalic gold and Prism Holo in the centre to add highlight.
