Cork Accents

I picked up a couple of metal accent rings (gold) from Angler's Workshop to use in a custom turned handle. Has anyone used these before? Any advice or input on the best way to use these would be most appreciated.

You're going to have to install them after your grip is turned. Perhaps slight shoulders on each end of the grip to hold the rings. Or if you're making a grip from various materials, you can get everything finished out and then assemble the handle with the rings located somewhere among the other pieces.

What you can't do, is sand or shape those rings. I'm pretty sure the gold plating would be lost.
