I recently finished a marbelizing job on a gift rod. I wanted to sign it and add a second coat of finish over the signature. I am using Amtack 2 part finish and the first coat has been drying for over 24 hrs. Do I need to scuff it with scotchpad first?
Thanks, Dan Grulke Re: 2nd coat

Normaly, most say you don't have to scuff before 72 hrs , the epoxy should still adhear to the first coat fine . I'm not saying that you cant , and I have in the past . I had a couple of coats that would leave fish eyes in some spot untill I scuffed it , and it was only dry for 2 days. It wont hurt unless it isn't dry........in my oppinion.
