I'am getting ready to build a Stroix SCIV #8 Rod and plan to use single foot ceramic guides for the first time. I haven't found a guide chart for these guides. Does any one know of one, or have any recomendations for size and placement.
Thanks in advance. Klinkerone Re: Single Foot Ceramic Fly Guides

Try the St Croix site for your set up to start with. Use the static distribution test in the article in the library to check.
Might try a #16 high frame double foot, #12 high, #10 fly, #8 fly, #7's to a #7 tip. I'm sure others will have their input. Spencer Re: Single Foot Ceramic Fly Guides

The #16 and #12 should be high frame spinning guides. The #12 can be a single foot. Put a guide on each female ferrule and use static distribution for the rest. Re: Single Foot Ceramic Fly Guides

Will, for what little it's worth, I've built several of the St. Croix SC IV 7 and 8 wts and what I tend to use is a 16 and then 12 stripper guides and then #7's right to the tip. Excellent blanks. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
