To those that replied to my post below regarding my travails in using Tru-Oil-thanks! I was applying too much at one time and not waiting a sufficient time to let it dry (a function of applying too much). Last night I removed the old sticky Tru-Oil with denatured alcohol, applied a new extra light coat with a piece of cheesecloth and this morning it was not only dry, but easily sanded with no problems.
That is the beauty of this board-hundreds of builders who are willing to share their tips with others. See ya'll at the rod show. thanks again- David Spence, Beaufort, NC
