Urgent!!!!! Flex Coat Trouble?

This may be a dumb question.But can you use the flex coat lite on a rod after you have already put two coats of the heavy finish?

around here the only dumb questions are the ones you don't ask. the answer is yes. if it has cured a couple of days you should rough it up with some very fine paper or 0000 steel wool to give it tooth. the title of your post leads me to believe there is more to it than you are not telling us. did you just run out or is the original stuff not curing?

I'm with Larry, why do you want to put more finish on?? I can't think of a reason to put that much finish on any rod. If you are trying to level out a wavy finish, that won't help. It will just make a thicker wavy finish. If that is the problem, you will have to sand it flat first.
