Worked real late last night trying to finish a matching set of stand up rods for Christmas. I needed to put on a final coat of Flex Coat on the wraps then i would be done. Mixed up a large batch and proceeded to coat one rod and then i had one guide left on the second one when i got up to get a drink and i noticed that i used Glass Coat hardener with my Flex coat resin. Oh well, figured i would finish the last guide. It was almost midnight when i fnished so i turned the heat up and hoped for the best.
Guess what, it worked with no problems at all. It dried clear and tonight at 8:00 it wasn't a bit tacky. Lance Re: Experiment ?

Lance you will probably find it is the same hardner anyway just branded differently.

I am with Myles. I would not be surprised if most or all were just about the same Re: Experiment ?

You think that all the Hardeners are the same, with different Resins? IS it the resin which give each epoxy different qualities? Re: Experiment ?

Actually, most of the resins are the same. The hardeners vary more. The hardener used in the U-40 brand finishes is in a completely different chemical family.
