New site features

I'm still playing around with some of the new features. One of them appears to be that if you take the few minutes to "register" then your name and all required information will automatically appear in posts - as well as the "new" notation when a new post is added to a string. I'm sure there are others (I haven't explored the 'My Control Center') yet.

Yeah, me too. After initially acquaintting myself with the features (including the registration, which took a few attempts. I didn't check my e-mail), I like it. Keep the registration part. You can exit without logging off, and the cookies keep your status when you return.

However, I have one problem. The navigation b/w previous and next posts also needs to be on the bottom, so that after reading a long thread you don't have to scroll all the way back up. Also, I think having the notation "newer" and "older" was better. I often go to the oldest thread with new posts and work my way up.

Pretty cool though. I've noted that things like colour and contrasts will be worked on.

Big thumbs up!!!!

MY COntrol CEnter is cool. YOu know how you're following a post for a day or so, then don't log on for a couple & it falls off the front page due to new posts? WEll, you can track that post. I still wish you had the option to sort teh board by last message posted, but I think this will suffice.

THere is a Group thingy in there - I don't know what that is, but it sounds like a Chat room. WOuld be pretty funny to get in teh Chatroom with some of the other clowns on here, lol.

I think you need to be able to "Mark All Read", so you don't have to open every post (whether or not you want to read it) to get rid of the "NEW"

Other than that, It's great
Mike

At the bottom of the main page there is an option button to "Mark All Messages Read"

Hey Ted, I know it might be hard to notice at first, but if you are scrolling down, and reading the message, you will eventually see the reply box. At the very top of that reply box (what I am typing in now), is a menu. In bold, it says "Goto:" and that is followed by "Forum List," "Message List," etc.

Those are clickable. Clicking on Forum List will take you back to the top of the forum. Hopefully this solves the issue you were having?

Noticed that. That's fine if you want to go back to the main list, but I'm thinking of going to the next thread without scrolling up and down.
