I've just started building and I want to build an inexpensive IM6 5wt flyrod as a present. I just want a kit with everything so I don't have to look all over for components. Besides cabelas are their any other sites anyone could suggest. Thanks Re: Rod Kits

I would call one of the sponsors and ask them to set up a kit that will have good components and no surprises. Most any of them are happy to set you up with everything you need. ........ Re: Rod Kits

Hi Bryan, Pacific Bay introduced a line of rod kits this year that are packaged for retail sales. We call them our "RodSmith" Build-It kits. We have three kits that feature 9 foot 5 weight blanks. Our Anglers series comes with a 9 foot 3 piece 5 weight blank comprised of standard graphite in classic matte black finish. Our Custom series contains a 9 foot 3 piece 5 weight blank comprised of IM6 material in a rich plum tint. And finally our Elite series comes with a 9 foot 3 piece 5 weight blank comprised of IM7 material in with a distinctive forest green finish. All of the above kits are complete with everything you need to build your rod, finish, glue, thread, guides, cork, etc. Pricing on all of the above our well within your price range, without a doubt the best rods you can get for the money anywhere. Please contact me at (800) 272-2229, or e-mail me for more information. Tom S. Brown Pacific Bay International Re: Rod Kits

I highly recomend Hook & Hackles IM6 kits , they can be purchased several different ways . You can get them with the components only , add glues and thread , and even a tube and bag. Very reasonable prices , and they are an extremly good casting and fishing rod . Bob uses some pretty good components , I usualy order a set of single foot rinning guides for a few more $ , I will never use traditional snake guides anymore ........ just me. The folks at H&H are great to deal with also . John Re: Rod Kits

OK, now I'm starting to look at the Tiger Eye kits at Neils. I've also switched to a 6w. Does the 6w have enough backbone for casting bass bugs? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
