Pete, No offense, but any rod builder who does not subscribe to Rodmaker magazine is missing out on new techniques and ideas every other month. I can't imagine not getting it and taking the chance on missing out on something like this. Your question makes it obvious that you do not take the magazine. The full details were exposed in the volume 7 number 4 issue of the magazine. Flocking is a fine ground particle mixture of suede, fabric or nylon that is adhered to a surface by means of a colored adhesive. It creates a velvety surface that is non-slip and highly durable. The proceedure in a nutshell is to coat the surface you desire to be flocked with the adhesive and then to blow or jet the flocking fibers onto it. Once dry, they are affixed permanently. The magazine has the details and the specifics. I recommended getting the back issue and having a go at it. I got very nice results on my very first try. Re: flocking grips

I'm glad he asked that question, I was going to ask the same. That issue of Rodmaker went to never never land during my move and address change. :( Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
