I got my new Rodmaker copy today and was blown away by your weave of the logo on the front cover. Very neat idea and great job. Congratulations. Cool photo. Re: Jim Kastorff

Thanks! But since I'm about the last guy in the Country(being in San Diego) to get each issue now I have to suffer out here waiting for my copy to be able to see how Tom K did the cover. It was a fun thing to make and I was curious how close I could get to matching the logo with a weave. You don't want to know how long it took to develop and weave-luckily I'm retired and have too much time on my hands! I'm honored to be on the cover once again. I can't think of anything better for a custom rodbuilder and Pringle can thread artist to aspire to than to make the cover of Rodmaker Magazine. Enough typing, gotta get back to my Pringle cans. Then I'm gonna post a pic of my latest creation, a golf club driver based walking stick covered with wraps and weaves naturally. Gotta have something to do during these cold winter nights...... I haven't received my issue yet but i'm really looking forward to it. You are a talented guy Jim.. proving to be very weird... but talented! I don't think I want to know what the deal is with wrapping pringles cans, but are you related to Rapt Tite?? I love the walking stick. I was kicking the idea of doing something similar for my son. He's in scouting now and I was looking at the "official BSA" hiking staff wondering what a diamond wrap would look like on one for him. Just tell me that all you did was the pattern and not a complete "underwrap" for the light blue! Re: Jim Kastorff

If you know Jim, you know that anything in the household that has a cylindrical shape is subject to having a weave pattern on it. Broom handles, mop handles and yes even pringle cans are fair game to Jim. LOL. Re: Jim Kastorff

Mel, I drove by Jim's place the other day and I'd swear he was doing a weave on his car antenna... Honest! LOL. Jim's work IS the best, IMO. Tom Re: Jim Kastorff

No amount of harassment will get me to divulge my secret methods of wrapping pringle cans. Time involved in such projects is irrelevant. Underwrap for the walking stick was Gudebrod Colbalt blue . I start the antenna wrap tomorrow. Haven't figured out how to get a fat guy in my rod chuck....... Re: Jim Kastorff
