I have decided to go with a new Lamiglas G 1307 spinning rod - 81/2ft, 8 to 12 lb, 2 pc, med action, fast taper, rod to use on the large trout (20 lbs) in Lake Pend Oreille in Idaho. This is probably not the proper forum for this question - and if you throw me out of here I will understand - but, do any of you have any suggestions on reel selection? - 95% of the time the rig will be used to fish with downriggers. THANKS, Mike Re: Lamiglas Spinning Rod

The 8 to 12 lb. range, I like the Stradic 4000, Diawa whisker 2600 is a good reel for the buck. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
