Just wanted to give an opinion on the Matrix blanks. I built an 8 foot 3 piece 4 wt for a friend. I am more than pleased at the way this rod performs. It is one of those rods that seems to do all the work. Casting is effortless and my friend agreed when he tried it out. Re: Matrix Blanks/Tried one

Do you have any other rods similar to compare it to? I'm curious as to how fast the tips are and the weight of the blanks. Re: Matrix Blanks/Tried one

The tip on the Matrix is on the soft side, but the butt section is stiffer. It seems to make for a great casting rod. I would maybe compare it to Cabelas Stowaway. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
