Can anyone point me to some articles or studies online that could help me sell a customer on high ceramics for a surf rod?

Thanks
Bob

RodMaker Volume 7 #1 has complete information on building surf rods along with quite a bit on what and why certain guides and guide systems excel on those rods.

Dale Clemen's book "Advanced Custom Rodbuilding" also has quite a bit of info on this in the section on guides.

Here on the Gulf Coast, wire guides are still a big thing, I try to convince some to change to ceramics with some success. Some, I just wrap with wire guides to keep them happy. C2

Bob
I'm not sure where you would find comparative information "on line" or printed to show a customer - but were I you I would urge him to look seriously at the concept system (whether you use Fuji guides or not). Line that is "gathered" smoothly and kept close to the blank will cut down on line slap and likely will cut down on overall wind resistance (that last is a totally unmeasureable absolutely non-scientific personal thought / 'beach myth')
