Bamboo rod ID and Value?

I would first like to say that I love this message board. It has helped me out on many occasions. Thanks to everyone for their knowledgable posts.

I have a bamboo rod that a customer gave me to look at and see what I could find out about it for him and I am stumped. The only info I found is that it is possibly made by Shakespeare, but that's not definite. He said he bought it from a gentleman in Germany. There are four different words written on the rod: "Original," "Noris," "Kombination," and what I think is "Lirnus." It has two tips. With one tip the rod measures 9' 6" and with the other 10' 6". I'm pretty sure that from the two different tips and the word "Kombination" that it is a spin/fy rod combo.
The rod also has intermediate wraps on the entire rod including both tips. The stripper guide and one of the tip tops is agate. Also, the ferrules are like no others I have ever seen. I really can't describe them.

If anyone can give me any kind of info (age, maker, value, etc.) please let me know. I will email pics if needed.

Thanks,
Nathan

Nathan,
Take a couple/three of photos (one of the 10 inches immediately in front of the grip (where the writing is) that will include any 'signature thread wraps"; one of the ferrules (the English were crazy about odd looking ferrules) and one of the guides (the Agate stripper would be good). One other picture that might help is of the butt cap - and any writing that may be on there - even a string of numbers. Post them up and then go to this url:

Down near the bottom you will find a couple of message boards/ forums that deal with bamboo (antique & collectable) rods. If necessary you can refer folks from there back to the photos here. It's a very good group there... They likely will be happy to help you out (especially if you have photos)
