Myles, try Mudhole's new "blank locator". Look at their post below; give it a try. Let me know how it worked. Putter Re: Fly/spin blank combo

Hey Putter tried it, way too complicated for this dumb Aussie, no its got to go in the boot of his car or he will never use it. Myles Ps that cherry pie of Peggy's sounds nice. Re: Fly/spin blank combo

Miles, the 2S60LF4 St. Croix is 4 pc. light is an excellent blank for this idea. On the cover RodMaker issue a while back , this blank was shown with a superb spin/fly handle configuration. I think you'de find it would work well with an ultralight spin reel or light wt. fly line about #4 for trout. It's 6' and moderately priced. We have several in stock currently on this blank. "Boot" of the car? Must be Aussie for trunk?? Didn't get to bring home any of the cherry pie; bit of pumpkin left, tho. Putter Re: Fly/spin blank combo

i have built a couple of these. built them on rainshadow fly blanks but there are many others. one thing you need to be careful about is the reel seat. a fly reel seat probably will not fit the reel foot on a spinning reel. make sure your selected seat fits the reel foot before building it.
