Again, the color will return once you apply finish. Most of the color that comes out is because the dark resin has been removed.

Tom was right the color came back after I applied Urethane, but it still did not cure. I will get some teal oil tomorrow or I will impregnate the wood. Thanks Dave

You either didn't get all the resin out or your urethane is bad. From the photo it doesn't look like all the resin is out. When this is done correctly the wood has a very pale, dried and washed out look.

I did impregnate the wood but all the color did not come back, and I did impregnate the other piece of wood that I did not soak in alcohol. I suggest do not soak wood in alcohol or you will lose some color.. Thanks Dave
