@#$%& Roller Guides which were conceived and developed by an AllCoast Member will get their first major test on the big Yellowfin Tuna by Dick Meriowitz of Blue Point New York, who is leaving Friday Nov. 26 on Denis Braid’s 17 day Charter aboard the Excel, out of Fisherman’s Landing in San Diego. Dick is an enthusiastic advocate of Standup Big Game Tuna Fishing, using rods equipped with @#$%& Spiral/Acid Roller Guides. Dick’s enthusiasm is based on the speed and ease in landing big fish when using his @#$%& Acid Roller Guide rods. To date, he has caught approximately 50 big tuna, including a 180 Lb. Bluefin on his rods. The outlook for the forthcoming trip is extremely good, with the just returning Excel reporting that the top three big Yellowfin Tuna, weighed in at 259.8 Lbs; 215.3 Lbs, and 208.6 Lbs. Dick will be taking the following Custom made rods on the trip, all equipped with @#$%& Roller Guides: 1). Seeker CTSF 55XXXH (80 – 130) Lbs. Built by Master Rodbuilder Capt. Neil Faulkner of Sayville N.Y. This rod has a custom butt extension to convert the rod into a Rail Rod. 2). Calstar GFTR 765ML (40 – 80) Lbs. Built by Master Rodbuilder Capt. Neil Faulkner of Sayville N.Y. This rod has a custom butt extension to convert the rod into a Rail Rod. The 180# Bluefin was landed on this one! 3). GUSA Trident Rail Rod (60 – 130) Lbs. Built by AllCoast’s Premier Master Rod Builder and Weaver, Jim Kastorff of San Diego. 4). Seeker CTSF60XH (50 – 80) Lbs. Custom Built for Steve Gustlin of All American Roller Guides, Tustin CA 5). Pacific Composites FF-170-15 (40 – 60) Lbs. Good luck and a full report after your return. I hope to do some of my own testing in May 2005 so I would be very interested in the results. Re: New Yorker to test @#$%& Acid Roller Rods on Long Range Trip

Sounds like a great trip. I also own a custom rod built by John Knight with the Acid Roller guides by All American Roller Guide Company. This rod was built for fishing for large Halibut in Alaska. The blank is a Forecast ( Batson ) TS66H. I am looking forward to using it next season when I go to Alaska on an "R&D" trip. Steve & Laurie from All American Roller Guide Company are great folks with a great product line. I would recommend there products to anyone. Take alot of pics..Looking forward to the results..
