Okay, I've been looking through all of those Japanese rods, and I haven't been able to locate any titanium casting reel seats. If anyone knows where I might be able to buy some, I'd be open to hearing from you. But, I had another thought. What about "retrofitting" a fly reel seat onto a casting rod? Has anyone tried this? Sean - Yes it can be done. The only thing you need to be concerned about is the corresponding inside/ outside diameters (and the size/thickness of the reel feet on the reel). I saw one advertised on MudHole's site as a saltwater reel seat --- but be prepared to talk some hefty dollar outlay -- nearly $150.00. You certainly want to make sure the reel will fit before ordering that item. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
