Please excuse my question because I've got a feeling it's been asked and answered before but...
What guide sizes and spacing would you recommend for a Lami GSB1081L that will be used with a Penn 710Z?

Traditional method is BSVLG 40, 30, 25, 20, 16 & a 12 top, or something very similar.

I would highly reccomend trying the new concept system on this rod though. Just built an XRA 1083 with the new concept & I love it.

For more info go to the rodbuilding forum on stripers online and do a search.

Clyde, Why send him to Stripers online when the article on the New Guide Concept is right here on this site.

Barry, There are several great articles on guide spacing in the online library here on this site. Just use the black button up to the right above the message board to access all of them.
