While unloading my rods from the boat today I noticed that quite a few of the cork handles and some of the foregrips where begining to show a lot of wear. The main type of damage is the cork is cracking on the edges. Is there any way to refit or replace these handles. Also is there a cork preserver I can apply. Whats the best method for cleaning handles TIA------ Ken Re: cork handle repair

Scrub with a toothbrush and baking soda and water. They come back like new. Chipped edges can only be sanded a little. If the chips aren't too bad this will remove them. Re: cork handle repair

Clean with a Bounce fabric softener!!! makes them smell good too. as to the repair there are many accepted methods. I usually strip the rod down and start over Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
