What would be the best way to shim up a blank for a seat? Not enough room for arbors, a little too much for thread, i was thinking maybe string or cord. Am i on the right track here? Thanks John Re: Fly Rod Reel Seat?

Mesh dry wall tape coated with epoxy works well. Do a search and you'll find much information on this topic. James Re: Fly Rod Reel Seat?

Cord is good. So is the drywall tape. 2 layers of heavy size E nylon thread may work pretty well, too. .......... Re: Fly Rod Reel Seat?
