Finishing my first fly rod with all ceramics....I like the look but when comparing this rod to similar ones I've built with single foot Ti's I've noticed that the wraps over the feet ended up being about 20% longer on this one (with the single foot ceramics) compared to the others. Are the longer feet (ergo, longer wraps) standard with you guys...Or did I just not dremel down the ceramic feet enough. I'm going to stay with what I have because the wraps are nice....(first with the Forham wrap)... Just want to know if I'm, supposed to grind these babies down more than I did. I always shorten the foot of the ceramics a little. Jari Re: Ceramics vs. regular single foots: Longer feet and wraps?

I agree that they are a bit on the long side, especially when you are dropping down from a say size 12 double foot to a size 10 single foot. The single leg of the size 10 looks enormous compared to the short legs on the double foot guides. I shorten the feet with my Dremel as well so they are a bit closer in length(maybe a bit longer) to the feet on my stripper guide. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
