A few months ago some one on this site had a chart for fractions and tenths of an inch and millimeters. I did a search but couldn't come up with anything. Does anyone know where I can find a copy of this very helpful chart. Thanks in advance for your help.

Bingham Enterprises used to have one in every copy of their catalog. Haven't seen one in years. If somebody had one and could post it on the photo page it would be very helpful to a lot of us.

You could do one very quickly in Excel.

For English:Metric Unit Conversions for Length, the exact conversion is:
1.000 INCH == 25.400 MM (millimeters) == 2.540 000 CM (centimeters).
This is not an approximation; this is an EXACT value.

Dale Clemens' English - Metric Conversion Table in both the Original and New Advanced Custom Rod building has some errors in it, at least in the 1.000 inch values. (1.000 inch = 25.4 mm, not 25.7 mm. )

Using a calculator, the formula is always:

THOUSANDS of an inch == ( ##.# MM) / 25.400 == YOUR ANSWER
Example: 15.5 MM / 25.4 MM == 0.610 "
Example: 18.5 MM / 25.4 MM == 0.728 "

MILLIMETERS == (#.### INCHES) x 25.400 == millimeters
CENTIMETERS = (#.### INCHES) x 2.540 == centimeters

If you use MS-Excel as a spreadsheet calculator, you can generate a reference table for any unit conversions you want to use. Example:
5/8ths inch = 0.625 inch = 15.875 mm. E-mail me directly if you need more assistance. Cliff Hall cmkmhall@ufl.edu .
