Reel refinish.

Hello from Jamaica. Got my ass kicked by barracuda on the flats, and was thoroughly molested by sharks on a bottom fishing trip. Back in the US Friday, then off to Africa, then hopefully Australia.

I digress. I'm looking for something to strip the paint from hard to reach spots on my UL spinning reel. I want to refinish it. I was also wondreing if I can tint Permagloss and "wipe" it on, rather than airbrush the reel and then put a protective clear coat over the paint.

One of the citrus or safe paint strippers ought to help on the reel.
Klass Kote epoxy paint may be just what you're looking for, link to the left.

Don't you still have to sand after using paint stripper? Just thinking along the same lines as when doing wood. I'm talking about the inner surfaces on the rotor (inside the bail support arms). Sanding in there is a total pain.

Also, can the Klass Kote be tinted?
