I am considering ordering some decals for my rods, and looking for ideas on fonts and sizes. What fonts do you all use, and why? Thanks in advance, Andrew Re: Decal Font suggestions

I have experience crunching a PC turning out technical papers. The worst thing you can do is to get too fancy and mix a lot of fonts on the same rod. Sizing and degree of boldness for the rod are probably the most important thing. For medium casting rods like the 844 you choice of location on the blank will have much to do with the size of font. I normally do an A thread underwrap with a double inlay of metallic thread to frame the name decal. Normally the area is 2 1/4 inch and I use an 18 point bold print metallic gold or silver for the name with a 16 point script city centered under. Keep it simple and it will look quality. You can get a lot of help from Jimi at Decal Connection on the choice of fonts. Take a look at some of the pictures on the board that display the decal area. I have posted a number of pictures of the decal area under my name. Do a search and take a look. I personally feel the decals are a very important part of the personalization that the customer enjoys. Gon Fishn Re: Decal Font suggestions

I'm with Bill. Don't get to fancy. Personall, I like comic sans font for name and info and have a logo that I use. Check out Decal Connection site at left for ideas. Shoot Jimi an e-mail. Hes's the best and will work with you. Mike Re: Decal Font suggestions

I just ordered my logos last week and Jimi is awesome. Way less than I thought I was going to pay and they were designed and in the mail by the next business day. Cannot say enough good about their organization. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
