I've used rods less than 24 hours after the last coat with no problems. Not because I wanted to, I needed the rod. If I could wait, I'd prefer to wait a few days. GC does get hard very fast, especiall in a dryin gbox.

If you can afford the time, wait about 3 days before use. Otherwise a full 24 to 36 at a minimum. With GlassCoat you can get away with using the rod in a shorter time frame than with most other epoxies.

If you kept the pan you used to pour the finish in, test it with your finger nail, with moderate pressure. I do this on all rods and will not handle a rod until the test pan passes the test with moderate pressure without indenting. Just good practice.

Glass Coat will be the first ones out the door!
