Ice Fishing Rod

I've got a woman who wants me to build her dad an ice fishing rod. As I am from Southern California, I am more mystified than usual. Any advice on components and set-up would be most appreciated.

My thanks in advance,

JC

Drop me an email and I'll help you through it. I'm building a bunch of them now and will be fishing some of the new ones myself this season. I'ts not that difficult to design and build one to do the job expected once you knew a few things. What you do need to know, is what she intends to fish for and if she will jig with it or use it as a dead stick.
