I have a customer interested in a SCII 3wt, 7', 2-piece. Anyone used one before? While I know that III or IV blanks would be better, they are not in this customer's budget. So any feeedback on the SCII would be appreciated. Re: SCII FLy Rod blanks

The SCII are the best bargain fly rod blanks in the business. No offense to Tiger Eye, Pac Bay, Forecast or those types, but the SCII are proven tapers from years of refinement, made here in the United States by a company with 60 years of rod making experience, have a great warranty behind them, are well made and top performers. And they cost very little. Best bang for the buck in all of fly fishing. Buy and use them with confidence. The specific blank you list is fantastic. It's pretty crisp, not too fast in action and will handle a #3 or #4 line easily. It's a pretty verstile rod. I would guess I've built on about 100 of them in the last 10 years. No complaints. Bill, Ralph, thanks for the feedback on he SCII. My customer actually just decided to have me build two of them, one for him, and one for his son for Christmas. I'm looking forward to building them. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
