I plan on using the following Fuji SIC guides for a 9' 7Wt G.Loomis GLX rod, as suggested by a fly rod distributor. a 16 and a 12 mm strippers - double foot and the following single foot guides. One #10, three #8 and four #7. This will give a total of 10 guides as recommended by G.Loomis. Your comments or recomendations on the size of these guides would be appreciated. Get rid of 2 of the #8's and make it 1 #8 followed by as many 7's as you need. There is no reason not to get down to your smallest sized running guide as quickly as possible. ..................... Re: Guides for a G.Loomis GLX rod

Where were you able to find a GLX Blank? I have built dozens for other folks but now I can't find one for myself! Re: Guides for a G.Loomis GLX rod

The GLX rod was sent to me from G.Loomis, Woodland, WA as a replacement for a broken IMX rod last fall. I was not aware that this rod was no longer made by G.Loomis. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
