Filing down the serrations on the male (tip section) ferrule, I chipped off a small piece of one of the "flaps" between serrations. Is this a purely cosmetic issue or should I be worried about a weak spot or anything of the sort? Sean Tate Re: cane ferrule serrations

I'm sure it will be purely cosmetic, nothing to worry about. If you use light wraps which go transparent it will be a gentle reminder for future projects. Re: cane ferrule serrations

I just had that happen to me tonight also..If you use transparent wraps it will be noticeable, but it should hold up just fine. Thanks Dave's Rods Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
