I have built several of the 7' saltwater rods and they are pretty good. My brother in law tested one of them on Tautog and Blues, and thought they were great blanks for the money. He commonly uses Calstar and St. Croix blanks and is critical of a rods performance. The walls of the blank are thinner than the Calstars that I am use to building, however still seem strong.
