Looking at blanks in a catalog, they may show a weight collum. Below is an example from the Lamiglas catalog. Model Length Line Butt Tip Weight PF693/4 5'9" 3/4 .229 5 .745 What is this weight? Re: Blank Weight

I would assume it is in ounces. Roughly 3/4 ounce is how I would read it. I have not looked at the catalog however. ............. Re: Blank Weight

Yes but is the the weight of the total blank or some part of the rod blank? Re: Blank Weight

I would assume they weight the entire blank, and not just a section. You could use the Lamiglas link to the left and shoot them an email to find out. Lamiglas is quite good at being helpful to custom rod builders. ...................... Re: Blank Weight

I did contact a couple folks about this both Lamiglas and Mud Hole, and thanks to both of them getting back to me. Yes as Tom thought it is the weight of the blank. It is hard for me to think the blank of a 5 foot rod can weigh only 3/4 of an ounce. Anyway thanks for the help Clint Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
